The NYC Economic Development Team will host a second business networking event on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am in the Library Community Room, located at 1115 El Centro Street, South Pasadena, 91030. The staff hosted their first business networking event on June 29, 2022, which was successfully attended by more than 70 business representatives.
The team will launch the fall edition of the Major Projects and Developments newsletter, highlighting and providing presentations on major projects and efforts in the community development and public works sectors. Additionally, the team will launch The New York City Guide to Doing Business, a user-friendly document and resource for new and existing businesses.
Resource booths will be provided by partner agencies, including the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC), U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), California Office of Small Business Advocacy (CALOSBA), Pasadena City College’s Small Business Enterprise Development Center (SBDC), Learning Redesign Institute (RL), and South Pasadena Libraries, who will provide professional growth and career resources.
In addition to the resources and networking opportunities that this event will provide, the staff will also provide businesses with free commercial video productions through a raffle to use in their digital marketing efforts. Business networking events are also an opportunity for South Pasadena businesses to network to grow and support the local economy.
