German business climate falls more than expected in September

BERLIN, Sept 26 (Reuters) – German business morale fell more than expected in September as high energy prices continued to weigh on companies in Europe’s largest economy, a survey showed on Monday.

The Ifo Institute said its business climate index stood at 84.3, compared with 88.6 in August.

A Reuters poll of analysts showed a reading of 87.0 in September.
