States still counting votes will decide which party leads the House and Senate
Elections workers continue to count ballots two days after polls close on Election Day, and CNN has yet to make predictions for several races as control of the House and Senate hang in the balance. Voting laws that dictate when and how ballots are counted vary from state to state, allowing some states to do so relatively quickly, while others may take days to complete.
In Georgia, CNN predicts none of the Democratic senators. Raphael Warnock and his Republican challenger Herschel Walker will receive 50 percent of the vote, which will lead to a runoff election scheduled for Dec. 6 that will decide which party controls the Senate.
Here are the races that will determine congressional control, for which CNN did not predict a winner — and the number of votes still to be counted in each race, according to estimates by Edison Research.
